For years, bruched 23 Turn motors were the standard for on-road/touring spec racing in Japan. Ultra spec racing was also done with the Johnson/Mabuch 540 motors.
Tamiya has decided to enter the brushless spec fray with this new offering.
Tamiya has released its first offical brushless spec speed control and motor. The TBLM-01 motor is a 12 Turn model. It goes perfectly with the new TBLE-01 speed control. The power delivered by the 12 Turn spec motor should be compreble to that of a 23 Turn brushed motor. Is this the future for Tamiya TCS racing in the US? Japan? Europe? Only time will tell.
Here are some pics of the new motor and speed control
