Brushless motors go bad when the rotor loses its magnetic strength due to the demagnetizing effects of the stator while the motor is under power. When the rotor loses its magnetic field your motor will lose bottom end, run hotter and possibly burn up the stator windings. Use the I-Gauss to test the strength of your rotor. A great tool for ROAR spec class racers for tuning your motors magnet strength for the track.
