Team Associated has been working on a new updated shock tower for the front and rear of the World Champion B4. The new front tower features a thicker ball stud mounting area. This is done for increased strength. The new front tower is currently in pre production.
With the introduction of lipo batteries, many of the Team Associated team drivers have been modifying their existing B4 rear towers with a 4th inner hole. This option has allowed for a different spring rate that reportedly increases side bite significantly. This is necessary with the lighter weight B4. The new B4 tower includes this mounting hole as standard. The tower still features 3 holes. The furthest out hole will be eliminated due to lack of use. The aesthetic look of the rear tower is different as well.
Both towers will be a running change/update to the current parts. No new part numbers will be issued. The exact release date is unknown, but expected to be in August.
